You can get crafty and turn it into a DIY, or look around your local home décor stores and add some Christmas elements like red bows before hanging outside.
Reclaimed Wooden Christmas Tree
If you don’t have a tree on your front yard to decorate, why not make your own? You can really get creative with this reclaimed wooden tree idea. If you have any barn wood lying around the neighbourhood, or even different bits of fire wood and birch tree branches, they’ll make for a stunning display once you stack them in the shape of a tree and add some twinkling lights around. All you need is to cut them in appropriate lengths for stacking and then attached them to a 10-foot 4 x 4 with wood screws to keep in place.
With the grass all dried up and covered in snow, having some greenery is always a welcomed addition and a decoration idea we love each year. Bucket planters are easy to make and boost the curb appeal of your home and garden instantly. You can add in any elements you enjoy such as juniper, cypress, birch or cedar.
If you want to really accentuate your walkway and give guests something to ooh at, you can create a holiday arbor over your walkway with re-purposed ladders. With four ladders in total, arrange and secure them in the form of an archway with two ladders on either side and two attached on top to create a triangular peak. Then add on some garland, a string of lights to wrap around and you’ll have an entranceway that’ll be sure the catch the eyes of any guests or neighbours.
Pinecones bouquets are easy to create and add the perfect touch to hang above the doorway or any place you feel like showing them off. You can search around your yard to pick up some, or head to your local craft or décor store. Then dip the cones into white or silver paint, add on some glitter to make them shimmer and bundle them together with twine. Add on some mistletoe for a little extra magic above the doorway.
